The UK Human Tissue Bank (UKHTB) is a not-for-profit organisation established to increase the availability and use of human tissue in biomedical research.  Since its establishment in 1999, UKHTB has developed an impressive reputation for supplying tissues and isolating a range of cells on a commercial scale that researchers need to complete their studies and accelerate research

We are committed to the ethical development of the service as an effective contributor to the improvement of human health, whilst facilitating the refinement, reduction and replacement of animal tests.

Independent Research Ethics Committee approval is required before we can supply cells or tissue to any researcher.
